Homes for Sale in North Bossier

North Bossier is generally characterized as everything north of East Texas Street and south ofKingston Road, although some would argue that it extends all the way up to the Brookshire’s grocery store in Benton. Either way, this neighborhood has been on the move for the past three decades, with many developments that have large, one-acre (or more) lots.Popular developments include Plantation Estates, St. Charles Court, and Legacy. In fact, theLegacy community is probably one of the most popular among military due to the cost-efficiencies of the houses and the familial environments. Legacy has its own elementary school and interconnected walking paths which feels similar to what one might find on-base, since military families are so well-represented here.

Parks/Outdoor

Brownlee Park (also known as North Bossier Park) is a very popular area between Benton Road and Airline Drive. It features a 30-acre field with a large walking path around it. Adjacent to Brownlee Park is Christ Fit Gym and Risen Rock rock climbing gym, which are popular among military and civilian families alike.

Shopping

North Bossier encompasses the famous Airline Drive, which houses all of the major retailers including Target, Best Buy, PetSmart, Chick-fil-A, and more. Pierre Bossier Mall is located next to the vast campus of First Bossier Baptist Church. Just about everything you’d expect from a bustling, growing city can be found on Airline Drive…and then some. A tip from a veteran of Barksdale Air Force Base: avoid Airline Drive during lunch hour and rush hours!
